Nancy Jean Cartwright is a voice actress as well as a television actress, and a comedian. She attended Fairmont West High School and participated in the school's theater and marching band where she proved to be very active.

Only in the 4th grade did she discover her voice of talents. In 1976, she graduated and got a scholarship to Ohio University. Nancy is famous for her role as Bart Simpson on the popular animated series of "The Simpsons". She does voice overs for various other characters as well which includes Nelson Muntz, our charming Ralph Wiggum, Kearney, the incredible Todd Flanders and the very famous Database.

She later shifted to Hollywood in the year 1978 and practiced alongside voice actor Daws Butler. The American actress has also starred in films like "Heaven Help Us" and "Flesh and Blood". Her works also include the voice of Gusty in "My Little Pony The Movie" and the voice of Chucky Finster on "Rugrats".

She has also published an autobiography, "My life as a ten-year-old boy". She says, "It's a collaborative art form, and I love what it is that I do, as well as so many hundreds of people who are working to make this show what it is, so let's just say for now we've got two more years under our belt, which is fantastic."

Nancy, who is best known for her work at the microphone, does not feel shy in front of the camera, though. She has held remarkable roles in many television sequel and movies including Fame, Empty Nest, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Twilight Zone-The Movie, and Godzilla, and also as a lead in the popular movie Marian Rose White.

She has also performed two highly acclaimed one-woman shows: 'My Life as a Ten-Year-Old-Boy', based on her book; and 'In Search of Fellini', based on a true life experience. She has numerous awards in her name some of which are mentioned here. Cartwright has received a Prime time Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-over Performance in 1992 and an Annie Award for Best Voice Acting in the Field of Animation in 1995.

She is still climbing her ladder to recognition and success. She has also won an LA Dramalogue Award for her acting in 'In Search of Fellini'. Cartwright was also bestowed upon with a prestigious award namely Scientology's Patron Laureate succeeding she gave her $10 million, to the Church of Scientology in 2007 Her spouse is Warren Murphy whom she met at her birthday party in 1988.

They both instantly fell in love and showed advances. The courtship lasted for two months when they finally got married. In her book, she describes Murphy as her "personal laugh track". She was conceived with two children namely Lucy and Jack whom they pampered a lot. Unfortunately, they got a divorce in the year 2002 after much difficulties.

Talking of her religion, she was raised as a Roman Catholic but later joined the Church of Scientology in 1991. Nancy is known in the non-profit world as a generous and active philanthropist who gives off her time, energy and resources equally. Though she loves her work on Simpson's, she sees it as a means that allow her to support many Non-Profit Organizations.

She particularly favor those NGOs that helps the children. Along with hosting many fund raising events at her home or building the local Police Community Youth Center, she personally tutors youth to help raise literacy and moral compass standards. Her wish is to better the lives of the future generations. Nancy firmly believes that art is an integral part of every child’s life and certainly enrich lives for every community resident.

Thus, she is the benefactor of some of the good works like the NGO Famous Fone Friends, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Cal State Northridge’s Teenage Drama Workshop and the Valley Performing Arts Center. Many of these contain art elements. Adding to her list of social work is the scholarship she has established for the forensic students at the Ohio University in her hometown in Ohio. Presently, she has also founded the "Happy House", a non-profit organization that is wholly dedicated to build 'better' and prominent families and also distributing Scientology-based literature.

In 2013, she was honored with the 55th Annual Fernando Award, for her dedication to volunteerism in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. This prestigious award is supported by the Valley Chambers of Commerce, along with private individuals and corporations located in the San Fernando Valley.
