William James Adams

William James Adams, whose professional name is will.i.am, is an actor, rapper, entrepreneur, songwriter, philanthropist, disk jockey, and record producer. He was born on March 15, 1975, in Los Angeles, California, The United States of America, His mother, Debra (née Cain), raised him alone and William never met his father, William Adams Sr. Debra was encouraging of his creative side and never shunned his growth.

As a result, in spite of being born in a slightly inappropriate neighborhood, William didn't go rogue. Lynn Cain, a footballer, is his uncle. The uncle-nephew shared a good bond and William looked up to him in rever. He studied at West Los Angeles and John Marshall High School.

Both the institution encourages students to pursue music. In John Marshall High School, he strikes up a friendship with Allan Pineda. They formed a group named Atban Klann and added three members to it. Eazy-E spotted them and helped them sign a deal with Ruthless Records.

Atban Klann started working on an album named Grass Roots, but the publishers stalled its release because of Easy-E's untimely death. The band then rechristened themselves as The Black Eyed Peas and made some changes in their members.

Interscope Records signed them and together they have produced some stellar works like Joints & Jam, Bridging the Gap, and much more. In due course, they realized that a female singer is the new of the hour and brought Fergus on board.

After achieving fame through The Black Eyed Peas, simultaneously William also started to collaborate with other artist and invest in other projects with his wealth. It included Lost Change, an all-girl band named Paradiso Girls, Change is Now: Renewing America's Promise, and much more. William has also appeared in Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's debut video as a singer named In My City.

He accorded his voice to the persona of Moto Moto, in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and has acted in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Rio, and others. William has donned the hat of the coach in The Voice UK The Voice UK is a television show in the UK create >> Read More... and The Voice Australia.

He had briefly attended Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising as well and established i.am, a clothing line. The Institution of Engineering and Technology conferred upon him Honorary Fellowship. William inaugurated FIRST Robotics Competition at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2014, 3DSystems appointed him as their chief compliance officer.

William suffers from tinnitus and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. In 2009, Perez Hilton, a gossip blogger, accused him of assaulting him. However, the law enforcement agency has not apprehended anyone so far.
