D S Rao

DS Rao (Dammalapati Srinivas Rao) is a famous Telugu and Tamil producer. He has Indian origins and before moving to India, He lived in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, Rao resides in Hyderabad. He attended the ZPH School for his primary education. After studying at ZPH, he went on to study at REC BhalkiEducational Institute. He is an engineer by trade. He has a single child, a son who is also in the initial stages of the film industry. In 2014 he released his first Telugu Short Film by the title of Friend. He works under the banner of Wide Angle Pictures. He is a proud and doting father.

His Telugu movie Kalavar King even has an adaptation into a Tamil equivalent. Rao is a very private man and does not reveal much about himself on social media platforms and through interviews. He is quiet and reserved. Rao wishes to further hone his skills in the South Indian film fraternity after which he plans to make a name for himself in Bollywood too. A little-known trivia about him is that he is even an actor. He can act but would rather stay behind the screen than in front of it. Rao currently lives in Hyderabad. He has had the chance to live in many other countries, but he feels that nothing can replace the authenticity of India.
