Chris Webber is a former professional American basketball player. The six-feet-ten-inch famous player was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA, as Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III. Webber attended Detroit Country Day School, and at that time, he was the most recruited Michigan high school basketball player and so was named as Michigan’s Mr. Basketball. After graduating from Detroit Country Day School, he attended the University of Michigan. Webber played various championships throughout his two-year college.

Chris was selected by the Orlando Magic with the first pick of the 1993 NBA draft, he was immediately traded to the Golden State Warrior for Penny Hardaway. Webber played in NBA (National Basketball Association) from 1993-2008. He first played for the Golden State Warriors (1993-1994) then for Washington Bullets/ Wizards(1994-1998), Sacramento Kings(1998-2005), Philadelphia 76ers (2005-2007), Detroit Pistons(2007), Golden State Warriors (2008). While playing for these teams, Webber won various awards. He won the NBA Rookie Award of the year in 1994. He had an outstanding first year. Adding to the list of his awards, he won the Star Award in the year 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. Chris Webber also led the Kings to the best record in NBA 2002 and made their first appearance in the conference Finals since 1981.

The records prove that Webber's position in the team was very crucial and that his existence in the team made them win a lot of matches. He was loved and adored by a lot of basketball players at that time. Webber, not just being a basketball player, is also interested in the collection of historical documents. He has an extensive collection of signed documents of prominent African Americans, including documents from Martin Luther King, Jr. and Frederick Douglass. Adding to his talents and interests, Webber has his record label, Humanity Records, and his comic book, Webber's world. From being a dedicated baller to a writer, a producer, Webber created The Timeout Foundation in 1993. In 1999, he also created C-Webb's Crew, where a group of tickets at every King’s regular home season game would be donated.

On the personal front, Webber has been married to Erika Dates since September 6, 2009, and has two children. Chris has always been involved in creating and producing music; he released a rap album under the name C. Webb in 1999 titled “2 Much Drama,” it featured rappers such as Redman and Kurupt. Webber has recently been known as a producer and actor, for films like Uncle Drew (2018), Somewhere in the Middle (2015), and the Unexpected (2015). The forty-seven-year-old baller is a power-packed human who has achieved a lot in life as a producer, writer, and obviously as a basketball player. Chris Webber ranks as the 49th popular basketball player of all time.
