Keegan Phillip Allen is an American-Jewish trouper, musician, photographer, and writer. He was born on July 22, 1989, in California, United States. Keegan is the son of the versatile actor, Phillip R. Allen, who is well-known for his portrayal in Star Trek.

During his childhood, Keegan developed an ardent passion for photography. He used to be a kid with a camera in his hand, clicking pictures of people and things close to his heart. Keegan is a nature-lover. His favorite pastime hobby is fly-fishing, and the most fascinating part about his hobby is that he doesn't do it to catch fishes, but for the sake of standing in the stream. Keegan is very close to his mother, Jones Allen.

He considers her a role model and his best friend. When Keegan's mother was fighting cancer, he donated his hair to "Locks Of Love," in his mother's honor. Keegan bagged his first paid acting role at the age of thirteen, in a short documentary titled, "Animal Planet."

The actor later starred in an episode of "Big Time Rush," a TV show on Nickelodeon. Keegan later bagged the role of Toby Cavanaugh in the ABC mystery drama, "Pretty Little Liars." The show had a total of seven seasons, with 160 episodes.

Keegan acted in all the seven seasons, and the role of Toby Cavanaugh made him eminently popular among the teenagers. When asked about his experience of filming the show, Keegan says that he loved to play the part of the bad boy.

Initially, the character of Toby was supposed to die, after a few episodes. But, seeing the kind of popularity and love the character received, the directors changed the plan. Keegan feels that he owes a lot to his fans, and thus is always very open, and friendly with his fans around the world.

In 2013, the actor won Teen Choice Award for his performance in "Pretty Little Liars." In the meantime, the actor played cameo roles in various television series, some of which include, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Young and Hungry," "Youthful Daze," "I Hate My Teenage Daughter," and a few more.

The actor also starred in the television film titled, "A Moving Romance." Keegan also worked in few Hollywood motion pictures including, "Palo Alto," "King Cobra," "The Sound and the Fury," and "In Dubious Battle." Few people know that Keegan Allen is a great singer.

He also made an appearance in Temara Melek's "Karma's Not Pretty." He often posts covers of his favorite songs on his social media accounts. Being a talented photographer and writer, in 2015, Keegan got his book published by the name, "life.love.beauty."

The book is an accumulation of all the photographs he clicked during his teenage years, with some verses he wrote. In 2018, he published another book titled, "Hollywood: Photos and Stories From Forever land." The book gives you a tour of Hollywood and the personalities making it.

Apart from being an extraordinary actor, photographer, and musician, the actor is involved in various charity activities. Keegan even auctioned a lunch date with himself to raise money for children welfare and education. The actor is a huge pet lover and had a cat named Menin, who passed away in 2017.
