Liam was born to Leonie, who was an English teacher, and a social-services counselor, Craig Hemsworth. He has two older brothers namely: Chris and Luke Hemsworth, who are also actors. He moved to Phillip Island along with his family when he was eight-year-old. Phillip is an Australian island. Liam spends most of his time there surfing along with his brothers. Liam moved to The United States in 2009 to pursue his career. There he stayed with his brothers in a guest house but, later on, rented their apartment. Liam followed his brothers foot step and started showing interest in plays. Later on, at the age of sixteen was his first audition. From the show ‘Home and Away’ in 2007, he started his career and made a guest appearance in McLeod's Daughters. In July 2007, Liam started filming for Neighbours. Eventually in 2011, Liam was announced to be one of the leads in The Hunger Games. Later on in June, he was in drama Love and Honor. In June 2012, Liam was honored with exclusive dinner with Hollywood. Liam attended the exclusive invites only event, with Miley Cyrus, at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Century City.
