Carol Kane is a motion picture, stage as well as a Television actress from the United States of America. She was born on the 19th of the month of June 1952. The city of Cleveland in the state of Ohio is her birthplace. Her real name is Carolyn Laurie Kane. However, she is more popularly known as Carol Kane in the world of acting. Her mother was a singer of Jazz, and his name was Joy. Her father, Michael Kane, worked with the World Bank as an architect. She started her acting career with the Television series called Taxi. She played the character of Andy Kauffman’s wife in the show.

She worked as an artist for Taxi from the year 1981 to the year 1983. For her brilliant acting in the program, she was awarded two Emmy Awards. Some other TV series which she did during this time include All is Forgiven, American Dreamer, and a guest appearance in the program Seinfield. She landed a role as a supporting character in the program with the title Pearl. She has made several guest appearances on Television shows. Some of them include “Judy, you are not yourself today”, The Year without a Santa Claus, and Ugly Betty.

She has also got cast as an actor in the very popular TV show Two and a Half Men. Not only TV shows, but she has also worked extensively in many Hollywood pictures. Some of her most famous motion pictures include The World’s Greatest Lover of 1977, The Last Detail of 1973, Norman Loves Rose, Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride and Scrooged. Hester Street was another one the best pictures done by her. She earned an Academy Award which belonged to the category Best Actress for her contribution in this movie.

Along with working in motion pictures, she has also worked in plays. Love, Loss and What I Wore is one of the most famous Off-Broadway shows that she performed. She was also a part of one of the performances of the play named The Children’s Hour. Harvey was a Broadway show that she was a part of. Wicked was the name of a Broadway musical in which she worked consistently from the year 2005 to 2014. Madame Morrible was the name of the character she portrayed. She has been active in the field of acting from the year 1971. She has been going on since. One of her most recent projects is Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt.
