Aariz Saiyed

Aariz Saiyed is an Indian Gujarati stand-up comedian, filmmaker, actor, and musician. He did his primary education at Baroda High School and later studied at Rosary High School in Vadodara, Gujarat. After that, he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) in journalism and communication at the Maharaja Sayajirao of Baroda, Gujarat. Then, he did his Master’s in mass communication at the Maharaja Sayajirao of Baroda, Gujarat. Aariz Saiyed is an avid pet lover and has two cats, which inspired him to write funny observations on animals. He has been living in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Diving into the field of creativity, he started learning music (guitar) at sixteen years of age.

Aariz Saiyed started his first band during his school days. Later, when he came to college, he formed his other Hindi Rock Band known as “Outro.” Since then, he has been the lead vocalist and guitarist. The band is active with its multiple show formats for intimate & unplugged music gigs, private gigs (third party, corporate, or college), and live music concerts around India. His band performances at stages of MICA, CEPT, Gen-X, NIRMA, M.S. University, and many more around Gujarat have connected him with the young minds.

During his college days, he tried his hands on several things like filmmaking (short films), spoofs, music videos, and writing and composing songs. He also plays many other instruments, including Ukulele, Mandolin, Djembe, Bass Guitar, to name a few. Aariz Saiyed has professionally worked as an actor and assistant director for documentaries, AV films, television commercials and made a few short films. Aariz Saiyed has been a core team member of Gujarat’s “The Comedy Factory” to become a stand-up comedian. He is providing a new flavor to his work by performing musical comedy.

He also engages as the company’s YouTube channel head and directs & editing videos for the channel by Gujjus worldwide. He also worked as a video editor, cinematographer, writer, and director for The Comedy Factory’s YouTube channel videos. His performances are a mix of English, Hindi, and Gujarati. He has thirteen years of experience in live music, six years of experience in visual production & ad film making, and five years of experience in stand-up comedy. He formerly worked as a copywriter and Show programmer at Myfm Ahmedabad in 2013.
