Ameel Macwan was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is a renowned Costume Designer. Ameel completed his schooling in Ahmedabad and went to St. Xavier’s College for Graduation. He has also studied at Amor Design Institute. Ameel started his career as a Costume Designer at Kashew Media and as a costume assistant at Chhello Divas. Ameel has designed costumes for many Gujarati Films. The most famous and known designs for the movies are Babubhai Sentimental, Daud Pakad, and Hurry Om Hurry. He was also the costume designer for the film 3 Ekka, Bachubhai, Bagaad Billaa, Huane Tu, and the recently released movie Lagan Special. Ameel Macwan was Awarded as the Best Costume Designer Award for the movie Purn Purushottam Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan at Gujarati Iconic Film Award 2023. Costumes designed by Ameel are the first choice for the actors for their Photoshoots and events.
