Born on 1988, Rachel Maria Rao is a popular TV anchor and model. She was born in Chennai. In 2012, she participated in 5th pantaloons Femina Miss India South pageant. She was the runner up of the competition having lost the title to Ahamata Anchan. Later on, she participated in the Femina Miss India International competition and went on to win the crown.

Recently she was seen hosting the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League. She further represented her country at the Miss International 2012 edition. Rochelle Rao has showed up in various TV programs. Most recently, she was seen as a contestant in the popular show Jhalak Dikhla Ja. She was a wild card contestant in the show. Later she participated in Colors’ TV’s show Khatron ke Khiladi season 5. However, she was only the second contestant to be eliminated off from the show.

Only a few knows that Rochelle is a very keen photographer. She even taught photography at Chennai University. Wendy Rao, her mother backed her at each phase of her life. It was her mother who was supposed to be her unofficial photographer and biographer. Her father, Dr NV Rao, is a medical consultant. Her brother, Noel Rao was a squad leader in the United States Maintenance Platoon, Delta Company. During his term he has received numerous awards and medals for his service. At present, she is seen at a Fox Traveller’s show along with three more girls.
