Samara Chopra or also known as Begum X is an Indian anchor, TV host, actress, and singer. She was born as Samara Currimbhoy. Yoga has been her passion and that’s why she took her Yoga Teacher Training Diplomas at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Sivanada Ashram. She was also trained under the guidance of Saraswathi Vasudevan, founder of Yoga Vahini. Chopra started practicing yoga since she was 13. In 2011, she hosted many seasons of shows on alternate therapies and yoga on NDTV Good Times. Aside from being a full-time yoga specialist, Chopra has also worked in theaters before starting his musical journey and subsequently became the frontwoman of the Delhi-based band, Ska Vengers.
From there, the Delhi Sultanate and Begum X duo started. Delhi Sultanate was also a member of Ska Vengers, and their duo aims to bring reggae music to a different level. They have toured and performed in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Jamaica, Thailand, Russia, Slovakia, UK, and the US.
