Ram Mohan Ram Mohan is an Indian Film producer who was born >> Read More... was born in the year 1931 and he is currently of the age 86. He is a very popular Animator. Ram Mohan is also a design tutor and title designer as well. He is the father of the Indian Animation. He started his career with the Cartoon films unit in the year 1956.

He is at present the Chief executive officer (CEO) and Chairperson of Graphiti Multimedia which is an Animation Company situated in Mumbai. Graphiti Multimedia got established in the year 1995. In the year 2006, Graphiti School of animation also got established in Mumbai.

Ram Mohan won the National Film Award for the category Best Non-Feature Animation Film. He won awards for his animated films Fire Games in the year 1983 and You said it in the year 1972. He also got the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival which was held in Mumbai in the year 2006.

He got the Padma Shri Award in the year 2014 by the Government of India. Padma Shri was the great achievement of his life. Ram Mohan completed his graduation from the University Of Madras in Chemistry. After completing his graduation, he shifted to Mumbai.

He worked on many techniques of animation from Clair Weeks and he is from Walt Disney Studios. From 1960’s Mohan started working with animation and films. He has also worked with UTV Toons which is a division of USL limited in the year 1998.

Mohan started his career by doing Storyboard and Character Designing for the animated film This Our India. From the year 1960 to the year 1967, Ram Mohan has animated, scripted, and designed many Cartoon Films. He won the National Award for his popular film Homo Saps.

He also won the award for ‘Chaos’ in the Leipzig Festival which is a short film festival in the year 1968. In the year 1968, Ram Mohan joined Prasad Productions after leaving from Films Division. In Prasad Productions, he worked as Animation Division’s Chief and did a great job.

In the year 1972, he started his own company named Ram Mohan Biographics. In his company, he did many commercials and also animated features such as Ramayana in the year 1992. He is the Co-director of the animated feature Ramayana and he did this with Yugo, who is from Japan.
