Born on 1st October 1984 in Guwahati, Assam, Tapash Sarkar is an Indian Art Director and Production Designer in the Hindi Film Industry or Bollywood. He studied and graduated in first class with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship in Kolkata, West Bengal, in 2008. Tapash later did his PG Diploma from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, Maharashtra.
He started his career in the Film Industry by being the Art Director for several short films, his first being Manthan which was released in 2012. Tapash also worked on the short movie Maya, which was released in 2018. He later made his way to moderate-big budget commercial films in 2021 at Persight Solutions Private Limited. He became a Production Designer for the movie Mission Extreme, which was released in 2021, and the film Operation Sunderbans, which was released in 2022.
