Jay Chhaniyara

Jay was born in a Gujarati middle-class family in the year 1993. He was young, when he suffered cerebral palsy- a physical disorder caused due to brain damage either at the time or birth or before that. The “disability” didn’t stop Jay from achieving fame; Jay realized that he had the style and ability to bring laughter and joy to the lives of millions through his comedy.

By the age of 6, his parents became aware of Jay’s skills to grasp things and remember it without any hesitancy; he gave his first performance at a family function where he gave a mimicry performance. On recognizing his innate talent, he realized that he had a better career in becoming a stand-up comedian and to bring laughter and joy to the lives of millions.

From then on, he performed at many shows across Gujarat. After some time, he traveled to Mumbai, where he took part in a laughter event by Marshals called “Koi Bhi Aao- Hansa Ke Dikhao. He won the event by public voting, for two consecutive years. He made a special appearance in Baa, Bahu Aur Baby to promote The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”. Since then there has been no looking back in Jay’s life as he delivered some entertaining performances at various shows including Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, Aashhayein, Laughter Challenge 1&2, Just Laugh Baki Maaf, and many more. Jay’s incredible journey has made him a household name as he gained worldwide popularity through his shows and performances.
