Siddharth Thakkar

Siddharth Thakkar is a former child artist and a scholar based in Leeds, England, United Kingdom. He is popularly known for playing Karan in Disney’s popular show The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir, a comedy show that was aired in 2012. Siddharth has studied Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Leeds. He started his career as a freelance child artist in the Bollywood film and Television industry in 2012 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

In February 2020, he was awarded with Laidlaw Research and Leadership Scholarship, through which he researched poverty profiles in the post-1970s era and published a paper on deep poverty through COVID-19 in England. Then in September 2021, he worked as a Placement Economist at the Office for National Statistics in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, where he studied GDP, regional GDP, and short-term economic growth calculations in the United Kingdom.

In June 2022, he worked as a Sustainable Private Credit Summer Intern at Allianz Global Investors in London, England, United Kingdom, and learned about private credit and blended finance investments in emerging economies. In June 2023, he also started working as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at DC Advisory in London, England, United Kingdom, and learned about Infrastructure M&A and Debt Advisory.

Siddharth has also earned various certificates in various fields from different organizations such as Bloomberg Market Concepts (Bloomberg), Financial Markets (Yale University), Behavioral Finance (Duke University), Private Equity and Venture Capital (Università Bocconi), and Introduction to Blockchain for Financial Services (INSEAD).
