She blends traditional Indian fabrics with a contemporary context, such as khadi, linen, gamchha, muslins, and Hyderabadi ikkat. In 2014, Anushree Malhotra opened her boutique in Ballygunge, Kolkata, and ever since, she has become a dominant force in the field of women's boutiques. She is a designer who has worked on numerous television soap operas, reality shows, and motion pictures. Her clothing has lots of drapes and cuts and is unique in its own way.
She is famed for simply placing her playful spin on sustainable pieces. Anushree uses a variety of environmentally friendly design aspects in all of her creations, including handwoven fabric, eco prints, and the recycling of existing fabrics, embroideries, and borders. Even the colors she uses in her designs come from natural sources. But above all else, she is interested in supporting more weavers by giving them work. Anushree has transformed the rooftop of her studio into a cafe-delivery kitchen, which is managed by the very same women who work for her and produce delicious homey food, to increase job opportunities and support a group of women.
