Kundan Lal Gangani is one of the best dancers from the Jaipur Gharana of Kathak. He was born in 1926 in Sujangarh, Rajasthan. He was trained by his uncle, Sri Narayana Prasad, who was also a great Kathak guru. he started making a public appearance at a very young age. He made his first public performance at the age of eight. Later, he also performed at the royal court of Raigad at the age of eleven. After that, he visited several states and performed at various places, including Khairagarh, Allahabad, Mumbai, Pune, Baroda, Kanpur, and Jaipur. He was also appointed Director of Kathak in the Dance Department of Baroda University in 1953. Apart from being a brilliant Kathak guru, he was also a wonderful tabla player.
