Bengali Dialogue Writer Raghuvir Shekhawat
  • Gender : Male
Written By - Team Nettv4u

Apart from the storyline, the most important feature of any Television serial is its dialogues. Raghuvir Shekhawat is one such man who is responsible for all the memorable lines mouthed by the characters of some of the most famous daily soaps aired on Indian Television. After spending more than two decades in this industry, Raghuvir very well knows what sells in the Indian market and what the Indian audience enjoys the most. His flair for writing is what drew him towards the world of entertainment, and there has been no looking back since. But Raghuvir has not limited himself to TV serials only. He has explored the film genre as well and penned the dialogues for films like “Ek Chalis Ki Last Local”, “ Jail”, “Nayi Padosan” and many others.

His TV serial projects include a passionate love story called “ Rang Rasiya”, “Karishma Ka Karishma” which is a remake of an American sitcom named Small Wonder, “ Diya Aur Baati Hum”, “Madhubala- Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon”, the tale of a brother and sister- “ Veera”, “Naa Aana Iss Des Laado” which highlighted the issue of female infanticide in India and one of the most popular serial to be aired on Indian Television- “ Balika Vadhu”.

Time and again Raghuvir has been nominated for the Best Dialogue Writer category for the Indian Telly Awards and also has numerous awards to his credit. He describes himself as “loving, passionate and emotional” and probably this is what helps him pen down the dialogues for his characters. Even though he feels that television serials are more challenging than films, nothing deters him from taking up this challenge. Though becoming a writer for the entertainment industry was a matter of chance, Raghuvir believes that turning his passion into his career was the best decision of his life. Adding another feather to his cap, Raghuvir has also contributed to the book “Marijuana Dairies” which is compiled by Paulami Duttagupta and edited by Nethra A.
