Anindya Shankar Das

Anindhya Shankar Das is a writer, director, and assistant director in the Hindi film industry. He finished his schooling (Biology, General) at St. James’ School, Kolkata in 2003, Mass Communications/ Media Studies at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata in 2004, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai in 2007, and finished post-graduation in Film Direction at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 2015. He was a producer for The Amazing Race (World Race Productions), Kolkata in 2004 and he was a cinematographer and co-editor for We Are Foot Soldiers (a documentary on children sex workers in Kolkata) in 2010.

He was also a director and cinematographer for music videos and short films for Sadhu Vaswani Mission, India in 2016. He also worked in Film Workshop (WWA Cossipore English School) in 2017 and Fashion Videos (Dev R Nil- India) in 2018. He was a senior creative director at TrueFan, Mumbai in 2020, associate creative director at Applause Entertainment, Mumbai in 2019, and second unit director at Maddock Films in 2022. Anindhya is known for Aida (2011), Shakyata- Possibilities (2016), and Jee Karda (2023). He was a writer and director for Zara Nazar Utha Ke Dekho- Tales of Crushing in India (2018). His other works are Under the Clock Tower (2012), Songs We Wrote (2014), and The Waterfall (2017).
