Bala Rajasekharuni is an Indian film director who has worked for the Bollywood film industry. Bala Rajasekharuni has also worked as a teacher in theatre and cinema in the USA and India. Since 2016, Bala has held the position of Dean of Academics at the Hyderabad-based Annapurna International School of Film and Media. Bala Rajasekharuni completed his schooling at Railway Mixed High School, Vijayawada, in 1980. Bala has 20 years of teaching experience in theatre and cinema in the USA and India. Bala earned an M.A. in theatre arts at the University of Hyderabad, India, from 1990–1992.
Bala did his MFA in screenwriting at the University of California, Riverside, in 2010 and worked there as a lecturer and director. He started his career as a producer, director, writer, and production consultant at 160-H Productions in 2004. Then he worked as a co-producer and writer at R.R. Movie Makers in 2010. He again worked as a co-producer in 2013 at Saif ali khan production-happy Ending, 160-H collaborated with Saif ali khan production in 2013.
