Loveleen was born in New Delhi, India. She went to Mater Dei School. She went to Hindu College, Delhi University. She did Sociology Honors from Hindu College. She was very active in her college, especially in politics.

She was elected as the college’s Finance Minister. She went MSRC, Jamia Millia Islamia University and pursued Mass Communication. She hold a top honors Master’s degree in Mass Communication. Considering her world entertainment contribution, Variety magazine of Hollywood featured her in “Annual Women’s Big Impact Report.” She has won The Best Foreign Feature Film with Danny Boyle for Slumdog Millionaire at the Amanda Awards held in Norway. For casting, she won The Best Ensemble Award along with Gail Stevens for Slumdog at Black Reel Awards. She also won the prestigious Rotterdam International Award for Slumdog Millionaire in the categories, MovieZone Award and Audience Award
