Oni Sen

Oni Sen, also called Aniruddha Sen, is one of the most prominent directors in India. Oni comes from a visual arts background that led him to direct. Oni is a Bengali guy and belongs to a middle-class family. He completed his graduation from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. Oni believed in doing “cool things” to mark his presence in his work. Oni went through a difficult voyage, did a lot of work, but his results were forgettable.

He has directed more than 500 commercials, including ad films for Horlicks, a telecom brand, Aircel. Oni has also done a script for Wall’s ice cream. All of Oni’s works were equally good, but his brilliant direction in Asur, one of the most liked thriller web series, caught everyone’s attention. Oni believes that in a single birth, he had four rebirths that evolved his perspective of life. Oni’s ideology and narrative make his work distinctive from others. He is married and is a parent of a boy. 

Oni also directed the web series “Out of Love,” Season 2, which was aired on 30 April 2021. He also directed the most awaited thriller web series, “Asur,” season 2, which was aired on 1 June 2023. This series has received positive reviews and appreciation from the audience. He also received “The Best Direction- Fiction,” award for Asur Web Series the at Asian television awards 2020. Oni was also nominated for Best Director – Popular Award) for asur Webseries at Filmfare OTT 2020.
