Pradip Kurbah is an Indian Film Director. He is a self-taught director who is a pioneer filmmaker in Meghalaya and won National Film Award in 2014 and 2016 for his previous features as Best Film in Khasi Language. His films were Ri in 2013 and, Onaatah in 2015. Pradip has produced several movies in various dialects of Meghalaya. He has also directed more than 150 music videos in different languages. After doing movies on militancy and sexual assault, his next one is about life in a marketplace, premiered which won at South Korea’s prestigious Busan film festival. The movie has its India premiere at the MAMI festival in Mumbai, where we sat to chat with him about Meghalaya, music videos, and his mobile theatre. Â
