Shiva Shankar Bajpal is an Assistant Director and writer. He grew up in Delhi. From 2008 to 2013, he studied Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at New York University, Tisch. He is a BA holder in Semiotics. He speaks various languages like Hindi, English. Interestingly, his first short, The Singhs, was selected in the 2009 OSIAN-Cinefan Film Festival, and his next film Raju was played at numerous film festivals, including the prestigious 33rd Claremont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. In 2014, he directed the hit movie “Outpost.” This story is based on two enemy guards who yearn for human contact but remain separated by an immaterial border.
He is a director, actor, and producer and has worked on diverse projects such as documentaries, Institutional Videos, Web Series, and commercials as a freelancer in the USA and India. He is the recipient of the National Board of Review Student Grant and assisting Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited, Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche New York, and Roger Michell's
