Zubair Khan

Zubair Khan is a film director and a producer from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He has done several projects, including short films, Documentaries, Commercials for Hindi TV, TV series, Advertisements and theatre work. Khan used to sell ice-candies when he was young. The director, then seller, used to do business in front of Pahlaj Nihalani’s theatre known as ‘Nishat.’ he got inspired by the theatre-acting world and developed relations with the theatre group members. The artist got his first breakthrough in a model’s portfolio and later bagged many Hindi Commercial and short film projects.

He travels and does photoshoots at indigenous places of the world. He is a married man and has two children. Khan is a cricket enthusiast and often watches live matches in the stadium.

Khan launched his own production house with his partner Chandrapal Singh Bio coming soon... >> Read More... called “Garbage.” The production has worked for various movies including Bollywood and Kollywood industry. Various Television series and short films are also produced in the company. The artist worked as an executive producer for Balaji Telefilms in 2011, where Zubair got his first break. He has done Bollywood movies like “Marshal (2002),” as an assistant director and “Ada- A Way Of Life (2010),” as an assistant producer.

In 2013, Zubair Khan directed and produced the Bollywood movie “Lakeer Ka Fakeer,” a crime based film starring Ajaz Khan Ajaz Khan is a very popular model and radio jockey >> Read More... and Maarisha. The story was about three friends, chasing different dreams and goals. The project ran well at the Box-Office, many Bollywood actors noticed Khan’s work, including Salman Khan who gave Zubair the chance to star in Bigg Boss Season11.

Being born on 25 th August 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Zubair Khan belonged to a poor Islamic family. He studied at St. Babu Ram Devon School in Mumbai. Later on, when Zubair was allegedly linked to Dawood Ibrahim, the underworld don, his fame was tarnished. According to the reports, the former confessed that he was forcefully married to the daughter of Haseena Parker, Dawood’s sister, though he denied any such claims later on.

His debut film was Marshal, which came out in 2002. Although, he was recognized after he directed and produced a film called ‘Lakeer ka Fakeer’ in 2013, starring ex-Big Boss contestant, Ajaz Khan. Zubair now owns a Production House -Garbage, in partnership with Chandra Pal Singh. Zubair Khan became a controversial name in 2017 through a television reality show, Big Boss season 11 when he participated in it as a contestant. According to Zubair, when he received a call, inviting him to be a participant, he refused, dismissing it to be a prank. However, later he found out about it and agreed to participate, thinking it to be a perfect opportunity to reconnect with his, now estranged, wife and children.

However, things did not go as per the plan, and Zubair got evicted in the first week of the show itself, post a discord with the show’s host Salman Khan. After that, he filed a case against Salman on the grounds of threat by the latter. Zubair claimed that the host maligned his image on the show. Later on, in a tweet, he mentioned that he had decided to shut the case and not go any further with it as he did not want to cause any trouble to Salman and his family.
