Zubin Driver

Zubin Driver is a Director and writer of plays and is a well-known face in the entertainment industry. He was raised in Bandra, Mumbai and did his education from here. Zubin attended St. Stanislaus High School after which he took a degree in economics from St. Xavier’s College and a Masters degree in literature and aesthetics from Mumbai University. It is because he was always in Mumbai that most of his plays are deeply rooted in Mumbai. After finishing his college, he started writing plays from the year 1991.

Among many plays, which he has written, adapted or directed is The Spider, The Washing, Mumbai vs. Mumbai. The Open Theater is the group that Zubin runs and has a membership of about 108 people. He was the CEO of Cell 18 and also worked with Network 18 as the Creative Director, which he left to launch his own company that was named Pundalika. He aims to bring up fresh and innovative content into television, theater and film industries. Zubin has to his credit nearly 25 years of experience in the world of showbiz.

Zubin has founded ‘Fight Back,' an online initiative that probes the youth of India to stand up for various issues that are bothering India be it developmental or political, etc. He started his career as a copy trainee at a company named Everest Brand Solutions. The book written by author Albert Camus is the most favorite book for him among the other author's books because his content is crisp and sharp according to him.
