Lina Dhingra

Lina Dhingra is the founder of karmaPro Entertainment (Events, PR, Film) and House of karmaLUXE (Landscape Design, Picnics and Domes, Development Overseas). She has also produced for Black Angel, Her Story, Sheroes, and Shernis Animation. She has travelled to India, Africa, Morocco, Europe, and the Caribbean for development projects and film projects. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Political science, and communications and media from New York University in September 1993. She has also attended Ryerson University for Event Marketing and film marketing. She is also proficient in languages such as English, Spanish, French, and Hindi. She has been the President, Entrepreneur, Film producer, Celebrity planner, Publicist, and Diversity Consultant at KarmaPRO Entertainment Group since January 2005.

She is a frequent guest expert on CNN, Variety, BT, CTV, CBC, OMNI, and the Washington Post, where she discusses diversity and women in the film industry. She has also produced movies such as Mumbai Cha Raja (2012), The Black Prince (2017), and Galaxy Built on Hope (2022). She has been awarded by the Government of Canada with four awards, including BizBAsh Runner Up for Best Produced Cultural Events, and acknowledgements from President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the King of Morocco for assisting in co-production treaties between countries. She is also a philanthropist. She has raised over $1 million. Her Calcutta project is building a music school in honour of her late mother, Kamlesh Dhingra, in India.
