Abhikendu Deb Roy is a Bollywood film critic and also engineer. Abhikendu received his postgraduate diploma in management from Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA) in Ahmedabad, specializing in marketing, media, and entertainment. He earned an engineering degree in electronics and communications from the Heritage Institute of Technology in Kolkata. He worked for Tata Consultancy Services as an assistant system engineer. For a short time, Abhikendu was the chief reporter for the bi-weekly journal News Beat Media.
He worked on the public relations team for the e-magazine On The Rox, and the organizing team for its yearly shows Infusion and Bangaliyana in 2014 and 2015, overseeing public relations, celebrity management, and media invites. He was also the social media content provider for Radio Mirchi, Kolkata. He works at Hoichoi, a Bengali OTT platform based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, as the manager of new programs and a management trainee for brand and communications. He was in charge of marketing strategy and operational analysis at Searce Inc.
