Aradhana Buragohain

Aradhana Buragohain is an Indian model and actress, who caught the nation’s attention when she reached the top ten in Femina Miss India 2016 beauty pageant. She was later titled the second runner-up in the 2016 edition of the Miss India Universe competition. She was born and raised in the coastal industrial city of Dibrugarh, Assam.

She completed her schooling from Little Flower Higher Secondary School and her graduation from Manohar Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, both in Dibrugarh. She mastered English Literature at the Tezpur University in Tezpur, Assam, and worked as a sub-editor for a local newspaper in Shillong, Meghalaya. Aradhana grew up as remotely cut-off from the fashion industry as possible since her father was a doctor, and her mother a teacher.

However, she did use to actively follow the models on FTV, which ignited her interest in modeling. She walked her first ramp at a fashion show in Guwahati, Assam just for recreation but later ended up delving passionately into the career. Soon after gathering fame as a model, Aradhana was offered and cast in the lead role of Priya in the Assamese movie “Priyar Priyo” (2017). Outside modeling, she loves to read novels and try out different cuisines.
