Loveleen Walia is a versatile Singaporean actress. It was in the year 2004 when she got her big break by participating in India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj Season 1 by Zee TV. The series was hosted to hunt for talented, aspiring actors. The person, who wins, will get an opportunity to play the main role, in a film and she had to face so many hurdles to get selected. Walia had to compete with millions of performers, to set her foot in the show. She was the only foreign contestant from the entire Asia, to have got selected for the show. Even though, she did not win, among the thirty-six participants, the show, made all her dreams come true. The popularity, she achieved through the show, made many production houses, knock her door for getting her to act in Television Soaps. She acted, exceptionally well, in many famous serials, such as Astitva... Ek Prem Kahani and Meera by NDTV.
Regardless of being new to Hindi language, Walia has appeared in a Hindi Theater Production- Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kate, in the year 2010. She has strutted the catwalk for many fashion shows. She has walked the ramp for the highly eminent Fashion Designer,
Vikram Phadnis. Back in Singapore, she has played the lead in 90 minutes Telefilm titled Blue Window that was produced by Oak Three productions. Her stint in India was only for a few years. Loveleen Walia, went back to Singapore, to provide an opportunity for other aspiring actors. She started her own venture, Kri Art and Theater, in Singapore to encourage theater artists. In 2011, she directed the play The Doctor is in, which received critical acclamation.
She is proficient and skilled in planning and organizing events, and this ability made her the producer of opening and closing ceremony of the Singapore Youth Olympics Game, in the year 2010. Few more events to her credit are Zee Carnival in Singapore (2007), Zee Nite in Singapore (2006), Singapore National Day Dinner in Delhi (2005) and also musical concerts of King of Sufi and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (2010). Loveleen Walia is also the Director and Brand Ambassador of Body Spa International, in India, from 2004.
