AvijitDutt is an Indian Actor, communications consultant, filmmaker, and theatre director. He hails from New Delhi. Avijit completed his MA degree in English from Calcutta University and started with being Senior English Master at St. Paul's School in Darjeeling.

He began acting in his school. After finishing primary studies, he moved to Calcutta, where he joined a theatre group named Red Curtain and began composing plays and working with theatre members and directors. He likewise filled in as a lighting designer and worked in a Bengali theatreJatra. Avijit has coordinated and acted in more than 50 creations in English, Bengali, and Hindi.

He visited the USA, Singapore,and Dubai with plays. In Calcutta, he worked with ShyamanandJalan to resuscitate Padatik He also co-coordinated and dramatized HazarChurasi Ki Maa by Mahasweta Devi. He has held many Theater workshops across the nation He made Theater workshop with well-known theatre director and dramatist BadalSircar.

Avijit visited Germany theatre as Goethe individual in '87 and '93. He has composed lights for famous Joy Michael, Habib Tanvir, Sheila Bhatia, Bansi Kaul and so on. He acted under numerous prominent directors. As Director at YatrikTheater in Delhi, Avijit did more than 15 creations and featured in the 40 Years of Delhi festivities. He scripted and Directed with GirishKarnad as the anchor movie "Buddha Trail" in 1996considering the defining moment of Buddhism. He made different social administration and item advertisements. Innovative Directed serial 'Satyam-JagoGrahakJago' to achieve Consumer Awareness. Avijit has been part of workshop by UNIFEM on Action Plan and Child Abuse in Nepal on August 2006. He is an asset individual for Workshops on Child Abuse and the electronic media in the interest of National Human Rights Commission and UNICEF at Ranchi and Goa in '99.
