Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh or popularly known as, Saint Insan is an Indian Actor, Singer, Composer, divine leader and a celebrant. He was born to an agriculture-oriented family to parents Naseeb Kaur and Maghar Singh on 15th August 1967 in Gurusar Modia, Rajasthan. He is married and also has 3 kids.

Saint Insan is the head of the Indian spiritual organisation Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) which runs in the welfare of the public and their environment, running campaigns like tree plantation, blood donation drives, rehabilitation of sex workers and drug addicts, helping people with diseases like HIV and many other such relief programmes. He is known for his spiritual powers to heal individuals.

He has organised many cleanliness and health campaigns that are also recognised by Guinness book of world records. Total records he has made for humanitarian services is over 30. He has done many such social works one of them is the unification of prostitutes through marriage. He promotes meditation as it increases our brain cells and confidence and he has also taught free meditation to more than 50 million people.

Besides spirituality and social work, Saint Insan has also worked in the field of music, engineering, science, sports and the list seems endless. Though he was born in a Sikh family, he doesn’t support any particular religion. His music is aired by Universal Music. He has performed in over a 100 rock shows.

He has written, composed, and performed the songs, Highway Love charger and Network Tere Love Ka in the genre called ‘Religious Rock’. He has done two films, MSG: The Messenger (13th February 2015) and MSG: The Messenger 2 (18th September 2015). His movies were released in English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Though his movies were under a lot of controversies, the response by the public was decent. It is said that his movie was shot within 67 days, and Saint Insan gives the credit to his followers. He also stated that his followers helped him in erecting the stage and getting background dancers as well. He contributed in every aspect of filmmaking from direction to playback singing to dress designing etc.
