Jadish Sethi was born on 15 January 1903 in Bombay, Maharashtra in the famous Punjabi Gali where all famous actors, director, writers, producer of that era lived. He is a famous Bollywood Actor, Director, and Writer.
He has acted in famous movies such as the first Indian sound movie Alam Ara (1931), Do Dil (1955), Sardar (1955), and Kiklee (1960). He had a brother Sudershan Sethi, who was also an actor who has worked in movies Gandhi (1982),
Jewel Thief (1967) and Bullet (1976). Jagdish is also believed to be an astrologer.
He had a son named Omesh. He was Deck Master Mariner in the Indian Merchant Navy,he died of cardiac arrest in 1993; he was barely fifty at the time of death.

At the age of 63 Jadish Sethi on 12th June 1969 died at his house due to old age illness.
