Kurush Deboo is a famous Indian actor and is popular for his role as Dr. Rustom Pavri in Munnabhai M.B.B.S. He was born on September 12, 1963 in Mumbai, Maharastra, India. His father’s name was Homi S. Deboo, who worked as an assistant director to the Billimoria brothers. Kurush’s Star Sign is Virgo. He is a Commerce graduate from Gujarat, India. He also got a Diploma in Marketing and Advertising. He is the Cousin of Choreographer Astaad Deboo. His Wife works for the Life Insurance Corporation of India.

After graduation, he came to Mumbai as a struggling actor and searched for acting job. To get relief from his daily expenses he took up jobs in some private companies. To make his living he worked with the Godrej group of companies for eleven years. To learn acting he also joined Roshan Tarneja's Acting School. When he completed this training, then again he took special classes in fighting and dancing. As a Persian, he faced many problems in his carrier. But with the help of voice consultant and diction teacher in Mumbai, Kurush finally got relief from his accent problem.

He first appeared in Hindi Chinema as the lead in the film Percy, which was released in 1990. For his first debut film, he was nominated in National Film Award for the category of Best Actor. In the film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, he played the best friend’s role of and came to limelight for the first time.

In Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, he worked with Bollywood superstar . This film was produced by and released on 19 December 2003. In this film Kurush Deboo played the character of Dr. Rustam Pavri. This role helped Kurush to make a position in Bollywood and now he is popular for this character. Munnabhai has made him a household face.

He also got popularity for his short appearances in Hindi TV serial. He played characters in famous TV serial and Karishma Ka Karishma. He also did small roles in different films like Kasoor, Jhankar Beats, and Such A long Journey.

As a model, he had worked in many ad-films for different companies. Some of these companies are Bristol, Colgate, Onida TV, Sony World and Clinic All Clear. He also worked for Nepathya Group at Prithvi theatre for the Play Kahan ho Fakirchand.
