Nikhil Advani is an ace Indian film producer, screenwriter, and director born on 28 April 1971 in Mumbai, India. Nikhil father is a businessman and his mother an advertising professional. Nikhil did his higher secondary education from Green Lawns High School, Breach Candy and graduation from St. Xavier College, Mumbai in Chemistry. During the start of his career, he worked as an assistant director of Dharma Productions. Nikhil is also the assistant director of two blockbuster movies Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Nikhil also made his guest appearance in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Nikhil also worked as an assistant director under
Aditya Chopra film Mohabattein. Nikhil directed his first film Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shahrukh Khan. The film was produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and was super hit film. Kal Ho Naa Ho proved to be a milestone in the career of Nikhil and won 6 Filmfare awards. Nikhil directed many films including Salaan-e-Ishq: A Tribute to love (2007), Chandani Chowk to China (2008),
Patiala House (2011), Hero and many other.
Nikhil is also a producer and owns a production company, Emmay Entertainment. Nikhil produced his first movie D-Day in 2013 under the banner of Emmay Entertainment. Other than working in the film industry Nikhil is also working on the TV entertainment industry. The show Shaadi Vaadi and All that is produced by Nikhil and is an hour long film broadcasted under MTV. The movie is a triangle love with some spicy twist is the directional debut Kaashi Nair who earlier worked as an assistant director under Nikhil. Nikhil is currently working under the film Airlift as a producer based on the true life event. Nikhil in his career directed eight films and produced five films. The film Airlift is expected to hit the floors on 22 January 2016.
