This young actor is an underdog in the world of Bollywood cinema. A Marathi man by birth, very little is known about Divekar’s personal life, familial relationships, hopes, and dreams. The only familial relationship that we see on-screen is that Omi Vaidya Who will ever forget this remarkable face in Bolly >> Read More... – the American actor who got his fame from his role as the Silencer in the movie 3 Idiots – is this young actor’s first cousin.

This goes to say that he is one of the few stars in today’s world who would like to keep his personal life separate from his professional career. Divekar was born in Mumbai and has acted in Marathi theatre since his childhood.

He entered the acting career as a young boy when he joined himself for many small roles in Hindi TV serials such as ShrimanShrimati, Filmy Chakkar, ChupkeChupkeand many more. He entered the big leagues by acting in Mahesh Majrekar’s movies, like VaastavandPitaah. Out of all Divekar’s work, his stellar performance in the 2012 sports drama, Ferrari Ki Sawari is what brought him into the showbiz.

The plot of the movie centers around a young father who wants to send his son to a sports camp as he loves cricket but doesn’t have the funds to do so. Seemingly out of the blue, a wealthy lady comes to him and offers a bounty of 2 lakh rupees if he can get her a cherry red Ferrari, stolen from world-renowned cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar.

This spurs the father into action and brings forth a comedic, action-packed family adventure. Divekar’s role in this movie is that of a character named Pakya who is the son of the local corporate. His performance of dialogue and dance that was delivered to the audience is one that put him in the spotlight and up for grabs in future big screen projects.

He was hailed by the audience for his skill in immersing himself with the world around him and blending his character so well as to match that of the surround citizens. The character of Pakya was one Divekar is said to have cherished deeply. Both men are of Maharashtrian descent and thus it was easy for the actor to control the dialect, tone, and body language of the character.

He earned the role through the movie’s casting director and immediately bagged it after his first audition. Another character that Divekar was almost about to play was that of Circuit in the blockbuster Munnabhai MBBS, but alas, it was not meant to be. No matter, Divekar insists that working with Vidhu Vinod Chopra Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a classic filmmaker, who has >> Read More... films was an honor.

He proclaims the director and producer to be legends as well as the humblest people he’s ever met. The entire VVC family was a close-knit contraption, with Divekar as big a part of it as any other employee. The actor has so far done many comedy roles but yearns to act as a villain as well someday. He has a role in the upcoming movie Sniff with director Amole Gupte.

It is a child-centric movie about adventure and action, and working alongside other famous stars like SanjayDutt and Amitabh Bachan has given Divekar the confidence he needs to continue on his career in cinema.
