Prashant Damle was born on 5th April 1961. He is a famous Marathi actor, theater personality, and a comedian. He is working in Marathi plays since 1981 and has acted in more than 26 plays to date. He has been seen in more than 37 Marathi films and 24 TV shows. He has 4 Limca Book Records to his name. On January 6, 2013, at Ravindra Natya Mandir located in Mumbai, his drama Gela Madhav Kunikade set a world record, with its 10,700th performance. The drama ran for over 15 years.
Prashant’s favorite movie is Kagaaz Ke Phool, and favourite Hindi actors are
Dev Anand, Nutan,
Sanjeev Kumar, and Madhubala. He is fond of all songs by
Mohammed Rafi. He loves to visit Nebula Restaurant in Shivaji Park in Mumbai. He loves to eat anything vegetarian which is spicy and hot. Sinhasan is one of his favorite books. His favorite plays turn out to be Gela Madhav Kunikade and Char Divas Premache.
Prashant’s first major play was ‘Tur Tur’. Before that, he had been part of theater societies in school and college. He showed his comedy skills and was well appreciated. That was when famous Mr. Suyog Bhat cast him in his play, “
Brahmachari”.Pudhcha Paul was his first film through which he made his place eminent in the Marathi film industry. Currently, he is said to host a cookery show called “Amhi Sare Khavvaye”. He represents Disha Direct and Retired Army Association. He also represents The Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank Ltd., which is one of the pioneers of cooperative banks in India.

Laxmikant Berde, and
Ashok Saraf. He likes to set goals and then exceed them and achieve a higher mark. He hates insincerity and unsatisfactory work. His aim to make people smile as he loves to see them giggle. He wants to achieve this by his foundation, The Prashant Kamle Fan Foundation.
Karti Kaljat Ghusali, one of Prashant's plays, crossed its 100th episode in 2015. He has his own Theatre School Of Performing Arts as well.
