Best known for the role of Gopu in the hit movie Highway (2014), Saharsh Kumar Shukla, is a guy from a small town with big dreams. Saharsh’s life story is no less than a typical Hindi movie. Shukla is from a small village near Raebareli, who never thought that one day he would share the big screen with famous actors of Bollywood. His primary education was done in the village itself, but he went to Lucknow University for his higher education. Interestingly, he wanted to become a doctor before trying to be an IAS Officer. But destiny wanted something else; at the Lucknow University, he started to question himself and his motive of life that if he wanted to become an IAS Officer.

And then, one fine day, he went to see the play at BNA. And that day was enough to push him towards acting. He then studied a lot about institutes for acting in India and abroad. He did theater for five years in Lucknow and eventually, got enrolled in IIFT. In his very first year at IIFT, he got a scholarship from the Institute and UP government. Since then, Shukla has just been going high in his career; he got “Knockout” with Irfan Khan as his first movie. In 2011, Mumbai and got another role of Inder in the film “ Shahid”. He was also seen in the movie Ugly (2013) and Pati Patni and Joe. But after the release of Highway, his career seemed to get wings. He shared that initially he was very shy and nervous to work with Alia Bhatt because of his role, but then Alia made him comfortable and gave one of his best performance in the film. In future, we will be seeing a lot of him working in even bigger movies.
