Sunny was an all-rounder at school. He also happened to be doing engineering. As a child, he was curious about films. He used to watch the same film over and over again. Be it be jumping from the hills, beating up bad people, doing stunts by jumping from the helicopter, he used to image himself as doing the same. These things used to excite him, and he knew that all of it was meant to him. And the major step to chase his dreams was to join Film and Television Institute of India. After that, the sky was the limit for Sunny. For him, success is not just a destination, but a means to raise his capacity and to create higher destinations in life. He made his debut on the silver screen in Cycle Kick in 2011. He also played the lead role of Rustom in Ballad Of Rustom, directed by Ajita Suchitra Veera.
The film was nominated for possible ‘Best Picture’ for 2014 Academy Awards out of 3000 films that release worldwide. He was also featured in action of a science fiction Seven produced by Yash Raj Films under their TV division. In 2014, he played key role in a film known as In The Name Of Jihad also known as Aasma directed by Sudipto Sen. He was also seen in a daily soap, Reporters,( as Manav)which focused on the lives of journalists working for a news channel. Sunny as been growing up as an actor every day. He was also the lead actor for the film, Killing The Rapist directed by
Sanjay Chhel. The film was based on Delhi gang rape case of December 2012 He is married to Shinjini Raval. Sunny met Shinjini during his FTII days, and they have been dating since then. He got married to her on 23rd July 2015 in Ahmedabad (Gujrat) 10 years after dating each other.
