Waqar Zaka

Waqar Zaka was born on July 17, 1980, in the city of Sargodha of Pakistan’s Punjab. Born to Indian parents from Jaipur settled in Pakistan, He’s the only son among two daughters, this could be one of the reasons why has always been encouraged by his family to pursue whatever he wished which later earned many feathers to his cap. Possessing a degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, he embarked his journey as a Television host and went on venturing successfully into many other talents like concept writing, direction, production (at The Musik), Editing and Philanthropy. He is well known as the Daredevil of Pakistan for his brave acts of Romancing cobras and playing with wild cats. In 1997, Wak Zak (as called by his friends and fans) released the famous student anthem “Nahi pada meine poora saal” which continues to Rock student world. He also won an award for this song from BBC Asia for being the youngest Pop Duet band of Pakistan. The 36-year-old Star is also loved for setting the trend of Selfie videos on social media where he reaches ground zero and shoots videos pertaining various social proceeds. His Most controversial video has been of a Medical student being harassed by two Men filmed amid the festivities of Pakistan Independence Day. One of the young men in the video sat behind a burqa-clad woman on a passing motorcycle and acted indecently.

This gathered a lot of social media attention and resulted in the arrest of the perpetrators. Waqar Zaka was also recognized for his humanitarian works at Pakistan achievement awards of the UK and Europe 2015 for building homes and saving many people from the Syrian crisis and also for rescuing girls from human traffickers in Burma.
