Alisha Das Alisha Dash is an Indian model-turned-actress, who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. She was born as Alisha Dash on September 13, 1993, in Sundergarh district in Odisha and studied at Sundergarh Public School. Later, after moving to Chennai, she took a Software Engineering course at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Her father is a retired teacher while her mother works as a lecturer and NCC Lieutenant at the Government Women’s College in Odisha.

In 2013, she ventured into the modeling world and became one of the judges of several local beauty pageants including Miss Chennai, IFM, and Miss Utsav. This Tamil movie is a romantic drama under Jai Balaji Banner. It is produced by popular producer Indhu whom Alisha calls Amma because she is like a mother-figure to her and has taught her a lot of values in life.

The story of this flick is an emotional one. It revolves around a family where Alisha falls in love with Jai and they marry each other but, Jai harasses her by his cruel behavior. Their son takes revenge from his father for such ill-treatment of his mother. The film has duration of two hours 27 minutes and it was released on 31st October 2014. Jai Akash, who was an actor before, turned director for this movie. U. K. Murali is the producer of Kadhalukku Kannillai. Dash, herself says that she is looking very different in her debut character which is true. She has a very distinctive personality and outfit for this film which contradicts from her real life look. Alisha was also seen in another film in Telugu cinema 'Swiss Raja' which was released in 2014, alongside the same co-actor, Jai Akash and producer Dinesh Madni.
