Hindi Movie Actress Anjalie Gupta

There have been quite a few actors and actresses in Bollywood, who have appeared in cameo roles in reasonably famous films, drawn attention of the audience, but thereafter had to struggle for a breakthrough or even a repeat role.Anjalie Gupta, the young Bollywood star who was remembered for her portrayalof an aspiring actress in the movie “ Satya 2 Click to look into! >> Read More... ”, was caught in the same situation ever since the reviews and discussions died down, and no new roles came her way. Seeing the reality around her, she had been desperate to grab any opportunity that came her way – even eyeing options in regional movies. Having successfully pursued one such lead, for a role in a Telugu movie, she now seems excited and keen to make an impression in the film, albeit in a language which she does not yet know. Ideally she would have preferred a role similar to the one that she enacted in “Satya 2”, looking at her modeling background and the relative ease with which she could have done a “bold” role. In actuality, however, she would play a diametrically opposite role in this Telugu film “Nala Damayanti”, which as the name itself suggests is going to be a mythological one. To her credit, as reports suggest, she is willing to shrug off her usual western looks to do justice to the role in this movie. She herself admits that she would have to play the role of a girl, who's very sensitive, emotional and traditional, in total contrast to that role of an aspiring actress that she portrayed in “Satya 2”. As this would be her first full-fledged role, she is very eager to give it her best and ensure her and the film’s success, willing to even walk that extra mile to get her Telugu pronunciation in place. For one whose first love was not acting but modeling, as per her own admission, she would seem to be traveling a long way in enacting the role of a mythological character in conservative and traditional trappings, and that too in a language she does not understand or speak. Who knows, it may be a blessing in disguise for her, and like many other stars from the West or North, she may make a long term impression in the South.
