The original name of Kamini Kadam is Manik Kadam. Born on August 1933 in Bombay Presidency, Kamini worked in Marathi as well as Hindi movies. She worked in films during the 1950s and 1960s. She is a Marathi by origin. Smita is the screen name of Kamini in the 1955 flick Yere Maazya Magalya. This is her first appearance in a Marathi film. Before getting herself involved in Bollywood, Kamini endeavored in several Marathi films.

Rajendra Kumar. This flick dealt with the issues in marital life. Mahesh Kaul helmed direction of this movie. Kamini Kadam looked good in this film and showed her acting prowess too. Her next Hindi film Maa Baap also had Rajendra Kumar’s presence. After working in some more flicks, Kamini bid adieu film the world during the initial 60s.
