Shubha Phutela

This Punjabi model and actress, back in the year 2010, won the title to Hair-O-max Miss South India. Having been born second in her family of five, with an older sister and a younger brother, she was protected and remained to be studious while a kid. As she Stepped into college in Bangalore, she took a chance with performing arts by getting on stage for the event 'Coffee with CEO'. She performed as a compere alongside with the event's guest Suhas Gopinath, with whom she later went on to date.

After a while, they came out publicly with it as well in one of their interviews for the DNA newspaper. She then stepped onto the ramp for eminent designers such as; Raj Shroff, Michelle Salins, Ramesh Dembia, Anu Nagappa, etc. Her walk on the ramp simply happened by chance, and before she knew it, she won the pageant with her charm, not just one pageant but many others like' Miss Cosmos 2007, Miss Youth 2008, Sigma Mall Brand Model Hunt 2008.

Shubha Phutela finally struck gold upon winning the Biggest title ‘Miss South India’ in the year 2010. She has been the brand face for several famous brands such as; Fastrack, TVS Scooty, Kingfisher, Britannia, Fly Mobile, Honda City, etc. She went on to pose for print ads as well; Nalli Silks, Kalyan Jewellers, Kannika Parameshwari Silks, Rasi Silks, etc. She then hit it with the Cine industry, Kollywood, with her Tamil movie Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey that released in 2012.

This young model- turned actress, who was slowly building up her career successfully, who even signed for a film early in 2012 alongside Telugu actor, Ram, had to opt out of it since she was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Bangalore for a kidney problem and jaundice for about three months. After having fought for her life for a while, she slid into a coma during the last week of her struggle and passed away on the 22nd of October in the year 2012.
