Vijayalaxmi was an Indian actress who worked in Hindi films. She started her career in 1949 with the movie Mahal, which also starred Madhubala in the lead. In the beginning, she played supporting roles in classic movies like Baawre Nain (1950), Aah (1953), and Toofan (1954). One of the many qualities she possessed was Versatility. She excelled in every role she played. After a string of struggling years, the actress finally got her lead role in the movie, Rishta (1954). Both audience and critics admired her role in the film.
