Osman Mir is an Indian playback singer. He was born in the town of Mandi-Kutchh. His teacher was his father, Husenbhai. He later started his official training with Ismailbhai Datar. In the starting of the 20th century, he settled in Rajkot, Gujarat. He started his career with late Shri Narayan Swami as a tabla layer. He got his first break on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima while he was playing tabla at a musical concert at Pujya Shri Moraribapu’s Ashram in Talgajarda, Gujarat. Parthivbhai took this opportunity to introduce Osman to Bapu. This was the moment from which his golden journey began. He is on the approved list of All India Radio and Doordarshan.

He has been singing in the industry for over 17 years now. He has tried his hand in all genres of music. He has sung Ghazals, Bhajans, Sufi, Folk and Bollywood songs over a decade. Osman leaves his audiences spellbound during his live public performances and concerts. He has given his voice as a playback singer for over 40 Gujarati films. He has performed in about 25 countries all across the globe. He got his break in Hindi cinema or Bollywood with the flick ‘Ramleela’. The song achieved about 16 lakh hits as soon as its release on Youtube. His metallic voice created magic on screen and ensured his Bollywood debut with a bang. On a personal note, Osman is a promoter of secularism.

He was born in a Muslim family and even as a Muslim artist he mostly performs in Hindu temples and Ashrams of various Hindu saints. He states himself to be an indispensable part of the historical Ramcharit Paryana of the legendary Pujya Shri Morari Bapu. He has won a number of accreditations including Transmedia Awards, Kutch Shakti Award, Gujarat State Government Film Award, Gaint Group Award and Ravji Patel Yuva Pratibha Award. He was also nominated for GIMA – Global India Music Award for his song in Ramleela.

Osman Mir got a chance to showcase his art at the G20 Summit on 10 September 2023. In which he demonstrated in front of PM Modi and President Draupadi Murmu. The event was attended by 170 guests, which included all the Chief Ministers of India. Many countries have participated in the G20 Summit, like Nigeria, Italy, South Africa, Canada, China, UAE, Turkey, Spain, Germany, and many more.
