Sohini Mishra

Sohini Mishra is an Indian singer. She is from Cuttack in Odisha. She was born to Ananta Charan Mishra and Pramila. Her father is an Assistant Headmaster. She is the youngest child of her family. Her first teachers are her parents.

When she was five years old, she began singing, and in eight years she learned classical music. She became famous when she participated in Indian Idol, the reality show of Sony TV. She took place in the top six contestants.

She is an approved artist of AIR (All India Radio). She learned Hindustani music from Pandit Devendra Narayan Satapathy. She specializes in classical music but sings all types of songs. She sings songs in Oriya, Bengali, and Hindi.

She also sings in albums. She studied MS of Biotechnology at the Ravenshaw University of Cuttack. Her father and mother have also approved artistes of AIR in Cuttack. She has done many stage shows in both India and Foreign countries.

She is famous in Oriya film industry and music field. She has received many awards in the category of Best playback singer. She got Best singer award of Big FM 92.7, Best playback singer award of Tarang cine, Governor’s award (Rajiv Gandhi Forum Award), and Chief Minister’s award.
