Sushma Shrestha

Sushma Shrestha is an Indian playback singer, popular amongst the regional audience for her on the soundtracks of movies and albums like Simply Darun, Ankh Micholi, Balma Bada Bavaali, Bhatta Saheb, Badal, etc. Mostly known for her major involvement in the music albums of Bollywood movies, she has often been admired by the critics and spectators for her exceptional performances as a playback singer and vocalist over the years. Born in 1960, she sang her first hit song when she was just nine years old. Losing her father Bholanath at an early age didn’t stop Sushma from being a part of super hit songs as she was involved in a lot of tracks at a very early age.

After her marriage, Sushma’s music career temporarily came to an end as she was unable to manage time. But, in the 1990s, she made a comeback in the industry with a different name- Poornima.
