Yasser Desai is an upcoming Bollywood singer who has been a playback singer for Bollywood movies. This 29-year old singer was nominated for Mirchi Music Awards in the Critics' Choice category and even bagged a nomination for upcoming male vocalist of the year in 2017. Yasser was nominated for the song 'Love Rang Reza' from the movie ‘ Beiimaan Love' (2016). Yasser Desai was born on 25 November 1989 in Mumbai.

He predominantly sings in Hindi and at the onset of his career, he got nominated for the Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year award at the 2013 Mirchi Music Awards for renditions of "Love Rang Reza’ for the movie “Beiimaan Love”.

Yasser was working in a research lab and used to hum his songs in the lab. Once he sang for Palak Muchhal, and somehow the song reached Zee office. As the song reached Zee music label, he got a call from CEO Anurag Bedi, and he asked him to drop by his office. As he met him, Yaseer was asked to sign a contract, and he sang a duet song with Palak Muchchal. He is a great fan of singer Arijit Singh.

Although the talented singer is making a mark in Bollywood, all will be surprised to know that the singer has no background in music. No members of his family have ever had any relation to the field of singing, and so the singer had no dream or aspirations to make singing a career.

Above all, Yasser Desai had never been to any reality show contest to focus on his singing talent, and neither tried to get in touch with any studios nor gave an audition. Singing happened by chance and luck. Whatever it may be, today he is making a mark in the music industry.

Yasser Desai's song ‘Rang Reza’ (Beiimaan Love) was a brilliant one that talks about falling madly in love with someone. Yasser has a melodious voice and used his vocals to enhance the duet 'Main Adhoora', where sings with Aakansha Sharma which is written by Sammer Anjaan and composed by Sanjeev Darshan.

The other duet ‘Mere Peeche Hindustan’ by Yasser and Sukriti Kakar was written by Sameer Anjaan, this bears resemblance to one of those half a dozen tracks which feature Sunny Leone. This song was just an average song. ‘Main Adhoora’ had a soft touch while ‘Rang Reza’ is one of the best songs in the movie.

In the movie ' Bareilly Ki Barfi,' the song 'Twist Kamariya' by Tanishk and Vayu, was rendered by singers Harshdeep Kaur, Yaseer Desai, Tanishk and Altamash Faridi, is one which shouldn’t be missed. The song is peppy one which has a youthful vibe and is a mix of melodies which have a calming effect, dance numbers, and a hummable tune. The song has music and lyrics by Tanishk Bagchi, Vayu.

For the movie ' Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana,' the music composer Arko has written the song ‘Jogi’ sung by Yasser Desai and Aakanksha Sharma. It is an enjoyable song in all the different versions which have some minor variations in the mellow arrangement from the composer.

For the movie 'Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha,’ Yaseer has sung all the songs in the movie for the first time. The title song 'Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha,' carries the story of the movie truly which has an element of betrayal and loss meaning.

The culmination of this title song ends with another version' Tum Khana The' which holds attention too. It is a duet song that had the magic of the duo Nadeem-Shravan and, it becomes more melodious the moment Palak Muchchal enters the scene with Yasser. 'Hue Bechain' is another duet with Yasser and Palak Muchhal, which is another romantic track.

Another duet number is 'Hanste Hanste,' and it is a song that sticks to the theme of the film. The song's 'Antara' is more impressive and one has to give a patient hearing to this song to understand the real mood of the theme.

'Aankhon Mein Aansoo’ is another romantic duet song sung well by Palak and Yasser. The final song in the film too was duet one, and the song ‘Nain’ has an easy-going charm to it. Nadeem wrote the film’s lyrics for the songs and composed the music.

"Teri Yaadon Mein" was another song for the movie ' Behen Hogi Teri' which was sung by Yasser Desai, Shubhanshu Kesharwani, Pawni Pandey, Yash Narvekar. Yash Narveka and Amith Dhanani composed the lyrics and the music of the song.

The adapted version of 'O Meri Mehbooba’ from the movie ' Fukrey Returns' is a direct lift from the Dharamveer movie sung by legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. But now in 2017, the rigged version is sung by Meha Kakka and Yasser Desai. Prem and Hardeep composed the music. The original version of the song was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

His private albums include ‘Khuda Kare', 'Aaaj Mile Hain' and 'Tu Jo Kahe' which released in 2017.
