Jaishankar Prasad was an ancient writer and poet who wrote in the Hindi Language. He was born on the 30th of January 1890 at Benares. One of his recognized works is Kamayani, which he wrote in the year 1936.
This poem explains human emotions, actions, and thoughts. Some of his other poems include Kanan Kusum, Lahar, Jharna, Prem Pathik, etc. These poems are about a forest flower, the wave, the waterfall, and a wanderer of love respectively. Apart from poetry writing, Jaishankar also wrote scripts for drama, novels, and short stories.
He wrote scripts for dramas portraying the stories of emperors like Skandagupta and Chandragupta, etc. Some of his stories are titled Sandeha, Pratidhvani, Andhi Aur Chaya, etc. He also wrote three novels viz., Kankai, Titli, and Iravati. Unfortunately, he lost his life on the 15th of November 1937 at his hometown, Benares.
